Character Torture
So with the upcoming events at the end of the Spring Court, Kushana will technically be able to claim the throne of Dagaria.
Obviously, in the effort of keeping the game nice and chaotic, I'd rather she not smoothly move into power. So what I need is an evil (or at least morally ambiguous and ambitious) faction to stop her when she makes her move. Ultimately this would lead to a dramatic chase across the capital with Kushana escaping by the skin of her teeth, and then having to frantically plot and make deals with people just to stay a step ahead of the people trying to kill her before she can take the throne.
One faction hunting her would be nice, but ideally I would like several who want to see her NOT be in power. I want her to be a fugitive for most of the game.
Any interested parties?

I am curious what his motivation would be for stopping her, though. Not wanting a woman on the throne?

Not having a woman on the throne, and also the Church has been drooling over the opportunity to seize power for awhile now. He'd try to do it somewhat surreptitiously, naturally.

On that note depending on how the attempt goes Delacroix will totally fabricate information on Kushana heresies.

But yes, I'm rather fond of the weird not!flirting CR they have. He is mostly a man out for himself, so there is a chance he could be hired by the evil enemies to try and kill her and just... change his mind. Or something.

Having a small crew of badasses who decide to help her is terribly IC, though.

He will be her crude knight in shining pectorals.

Though the tank better not fail as badly here.

Shall I be your adversary for this?

So unless the mazoku as a collective have some sort of stake in keeping Dagaria destabilized, it might be better to keep Xellos off of this one.
Alternatively, he can do his thing and offer her help while subtly guiding her towards some goal of his own.

Of course, he could cause said chaos by leading her into the hands of other people who want her dead.

...once he actually figures out how to get to Kushana since he can't really get to any properly-human-sized indoor spaces short of tearing the roof off or roaring the walls down. So anything you want to do before this can proceed as you like!
He'd also need food periodically if they escape outside the city limits (though Temeraire's gone without food for several days in a front-line situation he wasn't happy about it) so that might be another factor making things ICly Inconvenient.
He was also protective of Lawrence in the books, so I imagine he would be here too.
