QUADRUPLE POST OF DOOM

Four things!

1. Xykon and Team Evil have some Rift Gates to claim, and it's about time they finally made their move. Xykon also doesn't approve of this no-magic that's going to start popping up in the expansion, and has every desire to claim all knowledge about it and keep it in his own hands.

Combining these two, we have the Siege of Azure City -- except we need a different city. We also need a group of heroes for Xykon and Redcloak to go up against (who will ultimately lose, but can put up a hell of a fight). At the end of the day, the city in question will have fallen to the forces of Team Evil (who will eventually transform it into the Kingdom of Gobbotopia); a Rift will have opened at that location due to the Rift Gate being destroyed, although it will be tiny and not terribly powerful to begin with and for some time.

This is going to be a pretty intense clash, and likely a Tarot or two will come into play. Volunteers?

2. In YuGiOh lore, there are seven Millennium items, and at present we have only one in play. There are also three God Cards, none of which are in play. The ultimate goal of the Pharaoh is to catch 'em all, in order to unlock his memories.

So I need people to have these items and use them! Two are 'evil' (Eye, Ring, the latter of which holds its own evil intelligence); the Rod is generally used on the side of evil; three are 'good' (necklace, key, scale). All of them have a unique power, and in addition allow for the use of such classic powers as Shadow Games and whatnot. The cards would be immensely powerful summoned creatures, if used properly.

Also, if anyone wants to just have their character be able to fight using the card game the way Yugi does? Also cool.

3. Come the expansion I'm finally going to app Edge from FFIV, and with him I'd like to introduce the Kingdom of Eblan. Eblan is a historically powerful but isolated island nation, hardened by its constant exposure to the mythic Tower of Babil that looms over it, releasing monsters and mayhem frequently. It's a ninja-themed kingdom as well, so any ninjas or shinobi-trained sorts would be a great addition. If anyone's interested in joining?

4. Just a thought I've been sitting on, but... airship kingdom?

BM will, of course, be willing to moderately annoy the heroes as he has been perfectly doing all the times before.

And hm, if someone's willing to pay enough money for the job, then the Golden Hind fleet along with Francis Drake might be willing to put up a fight against Xykon. I'm sure pirates and mana bullets can at least help push back the lich and goblins. Speaking of, though, if you do start up an airship kingdom, I'd love to have Drake get in on that somehow.

She'll probably be making a lot of deals and trades with the place. Since, after all, it's probably advantageous for a person of her occupation.

Hiring mercenaries isn't unreasonable. It's more canon-reflective for actual heroes to oppose him, but that doesn't mean the so-called heroes can't have shamelessly overt motives!

Conversely, Xykon can hire Drake if it's within his interests. She's True Neutral and doesn't care for much one way or another as long as she gets paid.

I'll volunteer Jin for this. By the time this happens, Jin will finally have full control over Yukianesa and will be devoted to destroying all agents of chaos.

Which Xykon unabashedly is. Now if only Jin can figure out some way to deal with that pesky undead immunity to cold damage.

Where do you want the Team Evil to set up physically? I suspect that will have a lot to do with who fights them, though with the newly recognized Crusade Company they may well have some unexpected interlopers who are extremely zealous in hunting corruption (Though amusingly non-religious in their attitude)

Having not seen the map expansion yet, good question! Honestly, if I wasn't apping Edge myself I'd say Eblan because it would be perfect... Ideally it would be a port city. As for fighting him, I imagine there's a pretty good justification for almost anyone to get involved just because he's trying to monopolize use of the anti-magic ore. It's in no one's interests for him to achieve that.

Ffffff. If I can manage it, having Ed find a millennium item would be awesome. Not actively use it or anything, but maybe find it on accident in the midst of looking for powerful item junk and doing research.

I can't imagine him playing awesome children's card games though, at least in the shadow games respect.

As for opposing Xykon, Ky will be one of many - Paladin in all but class features.

Xellos needs to get some duel monsters action on at some point.

And getting his mitts on a Millenium Item could be very interesting. :|a
