Hi everyone. Just wanted to throw up a plotting post before I started to do any posting just to get a general idea of where I might start at and some general CR since this is AU and all.

If you'd like to interact or just try and build up some history with Ed, comment and we can work that out! I imagine, since he's in the military that he might know some of the military peoples here that aren't in canon ..at least by name. Some he might of met?

So yeah! Let's plot away.

He may both know and already utterly despise him. The Major... isn't referred to by name and in fact, everyone just calls him the Major even though he carries a rank equivalent to a Colonel right now. The Major is a part of his own Millennium faction that is known to be ultra-militaristic, but oddly enough, he is at least an equal-opportunity employer.

He's close with the Fuhrer, but that's more or less only because the latter is trying to keep him in check. ... Pfft.

I seriously doubt they are on good terms at all.

If he's close with the Fuhrer, then chances are Ed's at least seen the guy around. Hmm. From the snippet that you gave, it seems like the Major would be someone who would be more along the lines of "just looking at the guy makes me think there's something about him I really don't like. /glarefromacrossroom". I don't think Ed would have went out of his way to meet the Major unless he was assigned on some mission or something. Might be something to do in the future?

Oh, absolutely. Not only that, but really, they are going to meet more often later on if he's still searching for the Philosopher's Stone. The Major and Millennium are kings of Amestris' underground operations. Recreating a Lab 15 scenario shouldn't be that difficult.

Yeah, I'd say it's definitely something to do in the future and for sure Ed will not like the Major. The Major... doesn't really hate anybody, so he'll feel differently about Ed.

But yeah, doubt they'll be friendly.

Yeah. I got the confirmation of the timeline and the Philosopher's stone is probably going to be the first lead he's going to go for. Also, just from looking at various profiles, he might want to take a peak in re-animation/golems and the magic/science behind that.

I'm sure I can scrounge up some jobs for the Fullmetal Alchemist if warranted, so if there's anything you want to do with Ed but he wouldn't do of his own initiative let me know and I can hand down some orders.

Sounds good! Oh, hey. I did want to know what canon point you all were coming from. I got from sheepy that everyone was derived from Brotherhood, but I didn't know if everyone was taking things from more or less of a specific canon point. Might effect any potential missions or outlook on characters depending.

I generally tend to go effectively start of canon for this game, and let them develop in the AU setting. In this case though King Bradley is effectively unchanged, just that the plan isn't quite coming into fruition yet so there have been no reveals on that, nor will there be for a bit.

Oh? Was there some sort of event that brought this about? The history had a lot of conflicts and such, I didn't see mention of anything specific to Amestris.

I was also reading the character history you had, and Ed might be interested in the animated golems for curiosity sake. Might be something to explode in the future there?

In the backstory, to set up all the Gundam stuff mainly, Zeon had a fairly lengthy war with the continent, which largely consisted of attacking and then getting occupied by Amestris. Char got famous as a soldier over the course of all that fighting, mostly by blowing up large chunks of Amestris's navy, and since becoming leader of Zeon and making peace, he's taken back the seaside part of the Riftguard duties from Amestris.

A historical equivalent would be something like Sir Francis Drake becoming king of England, from Spain's perspective. Probably. I might be overestimating my character's importance here.

Plus, he and the Fuhrer really just do not get along at all.

And yeah, Char uses those things as an honor guard or for really tough Rift monsters. Ed could definitely check them out if he paid a visit to Zeon or to the sea side of a major Rift battle. Or if he ticks Char off enough.

Ffffffff. Yes. This would make me a very happy face. It's going to be interesting now that Briggs is in the desert instead.

Oh and hey Ed she's going to start her own faction. She might even let you not kill people if you join!

What I gathered is that the timeline is at the start of Brotherhood. Did you want to go ahead and say they met sometime? If not they should soon if factiony things could happen.

Also, What's the faction going to be all about?

We can save their meeting for the future. It'll be a while, too, since she'll have to wait for big reveals about evil schemes going on in Amestris - it'll be sort of like in canon, where she decides to deal with those evil schemes by killing the hell out of everyone she has to.
