It's not all that complicated, in fact! Xykon's background has like two things changed, tops. Adding the MitD to Team Evil's roster is as easy as Xykon finding it and doing just that!

Mostly I'm just worried about the logistics of apping a nameless, unseen monster (as I slowly go through the setting information) - particularly since the options for various monsters seem to be more limited than a D&D manual? (although that in itself assumes that the monster isn't some other previously seen monster, and also if Xykon can be a lich and Redcloak a goblin uh, OKAY I DON'T KNOW)

I was thinking something along the lines of "the exact nature of what the monster is is unknown to most, whether or not that's a creature of the rift, dragon, being from the faerie realms, steampunk technological creation or something else entirely --"

There shouldn't be any problem apping the MitD exactly as it is. The game's pretty accommodating to stuff like that: if it needs to exist, it exists, is pretty much the rule. If you want to tie it into the setting in a deeper way, that's possible, but it isn't necessary!

When we finally do the Azure City plotline, this seems like it would be pretty cool.

How far out is that? I'm curious because I would rather Garviel not get imprisoned during the grail war arc, and it would probably best to do it before he becomes Emperor of Rome.

We're waiting for the opening of the new map so we can place the Azure City analogue there. That's the only real timegoal.

Mm, fair enough! I think it'd be fun to have his discovery in-game, but then I'd have to retcon Right-Eye's involvement out of it. But I'm pretty flexible with it too! Whichever fits the easiest.

I think I'm good regarding everything else, so it shouldn't take me that long to finish his app.
