As the title says, this may be a thing. It probably is, given the reserve, but, details.

Anyway, some outlines I have for the character so far are;

Amon's chi-blocking in the game will work on everything, not just bending, since it restricts energy flow of all kinds.

We'll considering permanently sealing abilities when the story reveals a bit more how it works.

Also, given the setting there will likely be a need for engineers to work on ways to either permanently or temporarily render artifacts inert.

Finally. He needs a place of residence. I'm open for more, and for plot if you haz it.

I think one of the players is opening a kingdom full of ninjas and benders, so that isn't a bad place of residence I'd imagine, particularly regarding CR with Korra.

If he's looking for an actual representative republic to hang out in, Rome is just about to become that, which could also be funny

(My character here, Garviel Loken is the present Roman Dictator and is secretly trying to reform it while showing the face of a monstrous, if brutal tyrant) Edit: He's also running around masked 90% of the time with his helmet, and answers officially only to the name Cerberus. I'd imagine Amon would appreciate that, haha.

Regarding the permanent removal of powers I'm fine with him getting that off on some NPCs to show he's serious, likely it will be reversible (I get the feeling the series is leading into that direction anyway), but we can talk on that more when we get more definitive information.

Yes, that's what I'm waiting for too. I probably will hit a few NPCs just for show, but I am hoping to wait otherwise, and I agree about the series leading in that direction too.

I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH CANON (yet) but I can take a stab at this. I'd cheerfully love to consolidate supernatural martial arts under the kingdom of Eblan, which canonically is ruled by ninjas.

Right now, the Eblan ninja clan is considering opening relations with the empire or at least some of its constituent kingdoms. It might be appropriate for Amon to belong to a different ninja clan within the kingdom, with a different agenda?

I'm going to hold off on absolutely committing to anything until next Saturday though. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that the story he's given as his backstory is true or not.
