Hello there.

This is Eek, and I'm looking into joining. The character is Midna from the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. You may have seen her on planeocracy, and I'm not dropping her from there, though I think she'll have a stronger presence here. The thing is, I have little idea where to start; what faction to look into, what options I have as a first-time player, things like that. I'd love to hear everyone's ideas. ^^

Dunno about factions and such, but there is some relevant CR here, as Lancer, AKA Idranel of Ulthwe, was a Fey Lord hundreds of years ago, and Midna seems like she would work best as a modern Fey Lord. It's possible that Midna would know of her from history. Also it would be amusing for them to actually hang out at some point and be all "Oh those silly humans, so quaint."

That sounds like a great idea! She's basically fae anyway, and the title works perfectly. Are there any special thing I have to do to give her a title like that in the community?

Well there's a title section in the app, but other than that nothing comes to mind.

It might be your best move faction-wise to just pick some kingdom and say "Midna's a member of this kingdom", but which of course she means "Midna will be bugging people from this kingdom slightly more often than other kingdoms."

Of note, due to the presence of Ganondorf and Axel Almer, we do have a Dark World/Shadow Realm/whatever alternate reality area which we can fold the Twilight thingy into if you want, or she can be a subset of the fey and dwell in the Fey realm. Whichever works best for you.

Ooh! Hard to say. We'd have to conspire and determine just how different the two realms are--even in canon, the distinction is nebulous. The fact that she'll have canonmates at ALL is awesome, and I'd like to take advantage of it.

I've got a few ideas at this point. It basically depends on where her realm lies in relation to everything, I think. One notion I had was that the Twilight Realm--literally a boundary between light and darkness--could be uncomfortably close in some way to the Rift. This could make interplay between the Twili and the Church VERY interesting indeed.
