Act 2 Official Plotting Post

This is the official open plotting post of Act 2. All big plots you have going on or want to set in motion go here. We will also have a single open thread to determine who will eventually succeed the Emperor, this is open to any PC, although it should be expected that the proper successor will have a certain degree of military and political power (likely a current Kingdom leader, but not necessarily).

We will be watching this post when we determine the flow of Act 2, and it will determine how we plan mod-initiated plots. Go nuts guys!

If you mean NPC allies, then he has a variety of demons under his command, armies of steppe nomads from beyond the borders of the empire, and various other forces hidden about.

If you mean PC allies, then...

Well.

He doesn't have any.

This only came up because Garviel's plan is to strip Avshar of all his NPC allies before the final battle, thus giving a brave band of heroes a chance to actually get at the end boss.

Aka, Garviel sets the logistical stage for his takedown while the other PCs get all the glory, and he gets into a slobberknocker fight with daemons somewhere with his crusade company.

I was actually going for a battle between huge armies, rather than a small strike force. Get all the countries something to unite against, even if only briefly.

That works for me too. I don't want Garviel to get too personally involved, but having him deal with the army on army aspect of it while the heroes do their duel would work. Sound good to ynou?

Garviel as a sort of grand general works for me.

If nothing else he's pointedly neutral except in his absolute hatred of corruption. With the crusade company as an example people could be somewhat assured he wouldn't turn the battle to the advantage of one claimant to the throne or another.
