Act 2 Official Plotting Post
This is the official open plotting post of Act 2. All big plots you have going on or want to set in motion go here. We will also have a single open thread to determine who will eventually succeed the Emperor, this is open to any PC, although it should be expected that the proper successor will have a certain degree of military and political power (likely a current Kingdom leader, but not necessarily).
We will be watching this post when we determine the flow of Act 2, and it will determine how we plan mod-initiated plots. Go nuts guys!

Succession Plotting

Keep in mind that while in theory she commands the Imperial Guard now, most of it is tied up defending Dagaria's borders against various less than friendly neighbors. The forces she can actually command in the field against other PC armies are actually fairly limited.

Mitsunari will be announcing his kingship over Sawa and he'll be making a claim to the Imperial throne, but probably too much of a technical pacifist to have a realistic shot. He sees himself as the only claimant who would actually carry out Emperor Menethil's legacy of peace, so he'd probably have decent public support. Mitsunari has experienced visions of Sawa's destruction and his own death, so he's desperate enough to try anything at this point. The alliance with Zeon might be able to hold off an immediate invasion of Sawa, but anyone serious about going for the throne is probably going to want to invade the shit out of that big, wealthy, influential and stupidly pacifistic kingdom that controls a big chunk of the Imperial City's border...

Azure City?
However, the death of the King's going to mobilize Redcloak... Possibly leading to a version of the Azure City battle from his canon. This battle is important, because it demonstrates him to be every bit as dangerous as Xykon... And, notably, leads him to his biggest military victory so far in canon.
Heroes willing to fight him - possibly one or two falling to Xykon in the process - and others contributing to the chaos in various ways would be appropriate.
Unfortunately, I'm about to get on a plane and won't be able to tag this for several hours. Sorry x_x

Feel free to figure out that Twenty Faces used to be a scientist for Amestris.

The Black Rebellion
I already have everything planned for his attack in Poemond, but I'd like to do something smaller while I get that ball rolling.

The Razing of Eblan
Also, if I can, I'd like to run a Razing/Tower plot. The short of it is that some sort of evil attacks Eblan. The King and Queen are kidnapped by said evil's maniacal minion and turned into monsters, leading Edge to extract revenge by attacking (and presumably slaying) the minion and the villain.
This would need the two bad guys and a small group of good guys to help him out (after he loses the first fight horribly).

Roy: Hanging out in Poemond with Cornelia and fighting off Black Knights. That's all I have planned for now.
Athrun: Wedding later this month! Other than that, I've got nothing.

Char's Counterattack
Not necessarily literally destroy, he just wants to shatter the social structure to the point where everyone is fighting to survive and growing through hardship all the time. He's crazy as hell, incidentally.
Char's current plan is to use the chaos that's breaking right now to fight a way through Amestris to the land-side Rift Wall and basically level it, causing the Rift spawn to spill out and pretty much destroy anyone who can't step up and fight for themselves, leaving behind only super-warriors who are too busy fighting Pure Evil to oppress each other or make each other miserable. Meanwhile, everyone in Zeon popcorn.gifs and if necessary moves to the new world.
Look, his plan didn't make any sense in canon either.
Anyway, that's the general gist, which is going to get interrupted by another plot and smokescreened by Char playing off at least two imperial successors against each other while he very specifically denies he wants the throne himself. I am also up for suggestions on how else he can accomplish "Rift conquers Dagaria" with military power. If there's a way to summon a meteor to just make another Rift and the mods want to introduce that, that'd be perfect, as would permission to hijack the OotS or Final Fantasy Tactics plots, but other than that I'm open to any suggestions that meet the following conditions:
1) It'll take both a long grinding war and a lot of deception by Char (especially of his own PC subordinates) to make it happen.
2) A successful execution by Char will eliminate "civilization" on the continent and lead to perpetual continent-wide war with the Rift (preferably while sparing Zeon).
2) A hero who's good at fighting while making abstract philosophical arguments can stop him at literally the last second.

A Thorn in Every Side
Xellos has some orders to do some important things, but being Xellos he will beat around the bush for his own amusement until actually doing the work suits him - so in the meantime, he needs people to bother.
I know I wanted him to hang out in Amestris for a bit once he makes an appearance to Lina, but that's the only big thing at the moment.
Re: A Thorn in Every Side
And she's already pissed about it.
Worse - she knows she's going to get played by him. Which only pisses her off more.
Re: A Thorn in Every Side
Some Artifacts to be found...
Anyway, as Delacroix's last orders were to get Kushana, Sync's going to do this until he dies, she dies, he gets recalled by the new pope, or, or, he suddenly realizes he might be wasting his life by not allowing himself to have one. Or Van might decide to start plots and that will derail pursuit.
The point is, Sync's going to find he's a bit outclassed here even with his unique abilities, so he'll be wanting more artifacts besides the ones he stole from the Church itself.
I don't mind having him fight over these, as it should be a nice chase. I'd prefer it, actually.
There's also an undone plot with "Blessings of the Wind" as I didn't specify how many artifacts are in the set, so people could antagonize Sync repeatedly for his two pieces he'll eventually come into possession of. So, I'll list the artifacts, and if anyone wants to get into competing for them/helping the boy find them, I am open for it. As for the rest of the set? I'd leave that up to other people that use wind magic/plan to pick it up.
Fonic Mark; An unknown artifact. No one is sure what it's made of, but it fixes itself upon the owner and resembles a strange tattoo, with two fixing bolts that attach to the shoulder. It can allow the owner to circumvent the need for incantations for magic spells for short periods of time and strengthen them to a small degree(Kinda what Sync does in TotA.) I'd like this to be a plot item, but would like Sync to be the one to get it in the end. Obviously it would have some value to magicians. What it looks like, the symbol on his chest. Complete with the two bolts on each shoulder.
Gale Wing; Part of a set known collectively as the "Blessing of the Wind". It's form is an ear cuff in the shape of a small wing. The ability it has to strengthen wind spells especially.
Tempest Step; Part of a set known collectively as the "Blessing of the Wind". It appears as an attachment to boots with a symbol of the wind on it. The wearer becomes "as fast as the wind" in a sense that they can run much faster and dodge more.

So the thing is! Nero is a diplomat, not a conqueror. Hell, she had no real drive to take control of Rome originally (THANKS MOM). She has enough trouble dealing with the politicians of her own Kingdom, so she's smart enough to not try to seize control of all of Dagaria if she can't keep one kingdom in check. BUUUUT I'm going to say that the Senate, being the crazy power-hungry bunch that they are, will be pushing her to take the vacant throne of the nation, and she'll just be like NOPE.
And this will probably be one of the last straws. I still have no solid plans of when the revolts are taking place, since that all depends on when the Grail War ends. We have our good guys, our evil guys, and if that Iskander does wind up apping (or if anyone wants to app him if that person doesn't go through!), we'll have someone ready to take over. So it's all a matter of hammering out the details. :|a
Saber: Will be helping out with the fight against Rider, but that's all I've got. I'll go hit up the Grail War thread, but if anyone wants to do anything character-specific with Feito, hit me up!
Irisviel: Homunculus plot! AOB? Void? Potential Pride apper? I know a take-back will be happening at some point, but we need to hammer out more plotstuff.

For the Homunculus plot, I am hoping we can convince a certain brotherly duo to do Greed, that would be a great place to get that ball rolling.

Eleuseus: He'd be focused on protecting Nero and maneuvering things to keep the Senate focus on defense matters and the other kingdoms from trying to take down Rome.
Waka: He'll spy on many kingdoms for Sawa and start keeping an eye on the moon cave since this is the perfect time for some idiot to release Orochi.
Ky: He'll go after Luca Blight once he makes his move and take part in taking him down, and will also assist anyone in need of aid.
Georik: He will attend to the injuries of Zeon soldiers, take part in some fights. Lucifer will be assisting Char since his plan's actually interesting and will go around and start tempting people.

ROIGHT
Shen's forces attack Cathedral. Possibly destroy its Relic.
Shen runs afoul(afowl?) of the whole thing between Delacroix and Kushana.
Shen gets into the epic fight.
Shen ends up a dead birdie and maybe a martyr.
Classic Adventure Party? And more!
So first off, with the Spring Court over and everything going to hell and chaos... I propose a quest! Or at least an old fashioned RPG 5 man band type thing (doesn't have to be 5 people). Tyrnen was going to go on his way to Lerrian, from Imperial City. The goal is to learn more about the Fae and I was thinking it might be fun to have a small group end up together for various reasons going over there. Also perhaps explore more about the Fae and such.
On top of that there will also be a decent bounty on anyone who can capture Tyrnen alive (but this is not something I expect to work too much with until things have calmed down with the succession issue depending on what peoples priorities are.)
Magical Artifact
Second Tyrnen is in possession of a rather powerful spell book, I was hoping that maybe someone out there might be seeking this item, or with its reamergance into the world catch an interest in it. Whoever had their hands on it would have access to a lot of magic lore, long lost spells and other things and it would be interesting if someone out there really wanted it and started hunting it down after picking up on a new trail to follow. I've had it so this book has been missing for years and now that Tyrnen has it (and doesn't know the big deal of it) rumors are starting to spread again. It's sort of been a forgotten item so there should be research involved.
Stealing the Crown of the Emperor
This would ideally involve Xykon, Redcloak, Kushuna, and potentially a couple people who might be near Kushuna?

Levin: Levin has business with Luca Blight and will hopefully have an epic battle with him at some point. Following this, he'll be dropping out of sight for a little bit before resurfacing with the aim of bringing Luca down. News may get out of his heritage, but with what's about to happen to him, it won't have much impact on anything.
Roswell: Roswell will be continuing to work with Zeon. Whenever Char reveals that he's completely insane, Roswell will be retreating home and introducing the Ankh into the picture and placing his people and his weaponry up for the highest bidder. The Ankh is, in short, a magic nuke.

PLURK:
LINK: Link and the Kingdom of Hyrule is going to need some momentum when I can get the app finished *Glares at niece* Link is working on becoming a knight. Maybe as a mission, Link can be employed to do a task in Dagaria to prove his knighthood, then he gets swallowed up by some awful bullshit. Whatever it is (ie: Captured by Millennium, nearly killed). Please contact me or comment with ideas.
And what's Link..without friends?
Souji: Still working with Char Aznable through Shinsengumi, which might start deploying the Rasetsu unit. Souji might start gradually falling ill but maybe he should get some fight in first before that happens. Cause mostly stays at HQ when he does get sick.
Hmm, who should taste his sword?
Axel + Shadow Mirrors:
He would be sooo angry @ Char's plot.Well, the Emperor's death and the attacks (ie: Mist, Strathholme..>< I think) gives him that itch that the "other Side" is starting to get dangerous. Current client is Rome. Uncertain on what to do yet.

In chapter 2 I'm planning on having Ed find Golem/Chimera Shiet and some weird mad crazy scientist things no matter what. I assume he would have scoured a couple books while in Britain and at least got a good grasp about how materials from different countries differed. That's as far as I've thought about it though really.
